Assistant Director Childcare
About the role
The Assistant Director at LLE Education Group is responsible for supporting the Center Director in managing the daily operations of the education and care programs across multiple locations in the Woodbridge area. They are expected to lead and communicate effectively with various stakeholders including parents, teachers, and support staff.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Center Director with the day-to-day operations of the education and care programs
- Communicate and collaborate with parents, teachers, assistant teachers, cooks, bus drivers, cleaning contractors, and maintenance personnel to foster a high-quality environment
- Manage administrative tasks such as training, scheduling, orientation of new staff, student enrollment, billing, tuition collection, marketing, public relations, and parent relations
- Oversight of bookkeeping to ensure financial success
- Handle additional responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Adequate professional credentials such as a CDA, CCP, or AAS in early childhood education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork attitude
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills
- At least ten hours of management training completed
- At least one year of supervisory experience
- At least two years of teaching or childcare experience
- Completion of Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff
- Background check and Virginia licensing requirements met
Qualifications
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Experience as a classroom teacher or childcare provider
- Successful completion of Virginia Pre-Service Training for Child Care Staff
- Background check and Virginia licensing requirements met

Pay
The hourly rate for this position is between $23.00 - $25.00 per hour. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.

Pay Range
LLE Education Group in good faith anticipates offering the hourly rate for this position between $23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
