Basic Function

Unusual Work Conditions: Some late-afternoon, evening, and weekend hours, to support School and Center’s efforts with students or other branches of university.

About the Role

Teach Sophomore Success (Nursing, Public Health) 1:1 appointments (resume, cover letter, job search, interviewing skills, Mock Interviews, questions, motivational chats)

Review and correct resume & cover letters (separate from 1:1s)

Develop and present workshops, class visits as requested

Maintain and update contacts for CT Nursing Fair, and CT CRNA Fair

Send invitations and work closely with University Career Center on registrations, payments, set-ups, etc.

Communicate frequently with Directors and Associate Directors on fairs progress, hospital externship/job registration periods, Hospital Information sessions, etc.

Identify healthcare systems, agencies in TX to invite to Austin CRNA & ASDN Fairs, launch and continuously send reminders

Invite health systems and company participation to fairs and Egan opportunities

Support Austin, TX Egan needs

Collaborate with Talent Acquisition specialists and nurse managers on hiring needs and application dates

Curate employment, externship, internship opportunities and alert students via Handshake mailings

Manage the SNA Alumni-Student Nursing Brunch and Panel - Solicit alumni volunteers, plan event, publicize

Nursing Leadership Presentation to Seniors

Outreach to hospitals to create new partnerships, clarification on externship and New Grad recruiting timelines, etc.

Communicate externship, fellowship, new graduate opportunities to students using Handshake

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in counseling or related field preferred. 3-5 years progressive experience in career development or closely related field, with student-oriented experiences.

Knowledge of Nursing, Public Health, health care industries a plus, in addition to Handshake
