About the Role

Reporting to the Director, Patient Care Services, the Assistant Director, Patient Care Services is a professional registered nurse responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing care delivered by a designated healthcare team. In the absence of the Department Director, the Assistant Department Director assumes 24-hour responsibility for unit standards, staff leadership, decision-making, fiscal guidelines, and department relationships. This role fosters a supportive, professional environment for physicians, staff, and patients and is dedicated to Performance Improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, and evaluate nursing care provided by the healthcare team.
  • Assume 24-hour responsibility for unit standards, staff, leadership, decision-making, and fiscal guidelines in the absence of the Department Director.
  • Foster a supportive and professional environment for physicians, staff, and patients.
  • Dedicate efforts to Performance Improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nursing license for the state of California.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent (preferred).
  • One to two years of management experience.

Pay

$68.58 - $109.71 per hour. Individual wages are determined based on qualifications and experience. Calculated based on a full-time position.
