Assistant Director
Primrose School of Broken Arrow located at 1701 W. Albany St, Broken Arrow, OK 74012 is seeking an Assistant Director for our private preschool. This position will ensure adherence to our mission of bringing the best and most trusted in early childhood education and child care services to families we serve.

We are seeking an individual who is energetic, organized, a problem-solver, and possesses strong communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation. They will promote the Primrose School of Broken Arrow in the community to build awareness and enrollment and achieve planned profitability.
Primrose School of Broken Arrow is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age.
Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers
- Observe all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Broken Arrow and the local, state, or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children
- Assume responsibility to manage the operation of the school in the Director’s absence
- Present to staff during monthly staff meetings, teacher in-service days, and onboarding new hires
- Assist in conflict resolution, staff mentorship, crisis de-escalation, and building community trust
- Assist the Director with the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit
- Conduct tours, orientation, calling on potential leads, and converting parents to join our school community
- Coordinate newsletter, social media, marketing, and events through the school year
- Demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws, and manage staff with the Director
- Assist with managing the classrooms with clear and consistent expectations while using our exclusive Balanced Learning Curriculum
- Assist in keeping the school physically well-kept, attractive, and safe
- Perform all essential functions for each position in the School, including, but not limited to, other leadership team positions, teacher, food service teacher, and bus driver
- Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions
- Maintain overall professional personal appearance, adhering to the guidelines offered in the Employee Handbook
- Assist in other capacities that the Director, or designee, determines are necessary
- Celebrate all fun school events
Requirements
- Must meet requirements of local child care regulatory agency and Primrose School of Broken Arrow
- A degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field, and/or at least two years’ work experience in a licensed child care facility, kindergarten, or early childhood program preferred
- Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies
