About the Role

This position assists in the development, planning, and coordination of the College’s Admissions Office and enrollment goals. The Assistant Director will serve as a member of the Student Affairs and Enrollment team to achieve the goals of the division and the College.

This role is based in Bethlehem but will provide support to the Pocono Campus. Time will be split between administrative responsibilities at the Bethlehem campus, with support for the Pocono campus as needed, and recruitment in Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties. The estimated start date is either October 12 or October 26, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned recruitment territory in Monroe, Pike, and Wayne counties area high schools.
  • Represent NCC at events outside of the College’s sponsoring school districts.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations within the assigned recruitment territory; develop and execute recruitment strategies for non-traditional (adult learner) populations.
  • Utilize HubSpot or equivalent CRM tool to make informed recruiting decisions.
  • Achieve assigned territory enrollment goals.
  • Track and manage communication with the assigned territory and school counselors.
  • Oversee and manage the application and review process of assigned selective programs; build strong collaboration with Program Directors.
  • Schedule and conduct appointments with prospective students and their families to discuss admissions, enrollment, programs, and resources provided by NCC.
  • In collaboration with the Associate Director of Admissions, plan and oversee on-campus events such as open houses, info sessions, campus tours, and special group presentations.
  • Connect and relate with various community groups about NCC and its programs.
  • Oversee an assigned selective program’s process.
  • Serve on various committees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) approved Institutional Accreditor college.
  • Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:
    • Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred.
    • Demonstrated organization, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Effective presentation and public speaking skills.
    • Comfortable working with small and large groups.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and college personnel.
    • Embrace and adapt to changes.
    • Develop positive relationships with community constituencies and diverse populations.
    • Experience working with data and data tools (Excel, Access, commercial reporting tools, and other software).
  • Experience: 1-5 years of professional experience in college admissions; community college enrollment experience preferred but not required.
