About the role
This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive excellent customer service and product information.
Responsibilities
- Act and work in a manner consistent with company's core values
- Demonstrate safe lifting practices and understand company's retail philosophy
- Drive and teach the company's retail philosophy
- Provide direction to Product Sales Specialists for high-quality customer service
- Complete certification courses and demonstrate knowledge of merchandise and installation
- Communicate departmental standards and changes to associates
- Pass industrial truck proficiency testing and certification
- Communicate inventory needs to management
- Direct and assist merchandise processing to the showroom floor
- Validate product placement and pricing
- Greet customers and assist with product questions and selections
- Process refunds and exchanges
- Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures
- Stock and tag merchandise displays
- Create price tags and merchandise signs
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding and compliance with company's safe lifting practices and operating procedures
- Basic P’s of retail knowledge (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing)
- Completion of relevant certification courses
- Physical requirements: ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
