Assistant Department Manager (Stone)
About the role
This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive exceptional customer service and product information.
Responsibilities
- Act and work in a manner consistent with company's core values
- Demonstrate safe lifting practices and understand company's retail philosophy
- Provide direction to Product Sales Specialists for high-quality customer service
- Complete certification courses and demonstrate knowledge of merchandise and installation
- Communicate and organize merchandise, validate placements, and process refunds/exchanges
- Communicate inventory needs to management and assist with merchandise processing
- Direct and assist with stock and tagging of merchandise displays
- Greet and assist customers with product questions and selections
- Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures
- Answer the telephone according to guidelines
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding and compliance with company's safe lifting practices and operating procedures
- Drive and teach company's philosophy around retail basics (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing)
- Pass industrial truck (forklift) proficiency testing and certification
- Communicate inventory needs to management and assist with processing merchandise
- Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures
- Follow established cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures

Store Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pickup Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
