Assistant Department Manager (Stone)

About the role

This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive excellent customer service and product information.

Responsibilities

• Act and work in a manner consistent with company's core values
• Demonstrate safe lifting practices and understand company's retail philosophy
• Drive and teach the company's retail philosophy
• Provide direction to Product Sales Specialists
• Complete product specialist certification courses
• Ensure merchandise and installation standards are met
• Communicate standard operating procedures to all associates
• Pass industrial truck proficiency testing and certification
• Communicate inventory needs to management
• Direct and assist merchandise processing
• Validate product placement and pricing
• Greet customers and assist with product questions
• Process customer transactions and returns
• Present 'how-to' classes
• Stock and tag merchandise displays
• Follow cash handling procedures
• Perform physical tasks requiring lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

• Thorough understanding and compliance with safe lifting practices
• Understanding of merchandise and installation standards
• Knowledge of standard operating procedures
• Ability to pass industrial truck proficiency testing

Pay

$18.00 - $25.40 per hour

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pickup Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
