Assistant Department Manager (Deco)
About the role
This position trains and develops Product Sales Specialists and ensures customers receive exceptional customer service and product information.
Responsibilities
- Act and work in a manner consistent with company's core values
- Demonstrate safe lifting practices and company retail philosophy
- Provide direction and complete certification courses for Product Sales Specialists
- Ensure accurate customer service and merchandise presentation
- Communicate and validate inventory needs, product placement, and pricing
- Complete industrial truck proficiency testing and certification
- Communicate with management about inventory needs
- Process customer transactions and returns
- Present 'how-to' classes to customers
- Follow cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures
- Stock and tag merchandise displays
- Greet and assist customers
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding and compliance with company safe lifting practices and operating procedures
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Knowledge of merchandise and installation
- Ability to communicate standard operating procedures to associates
- Proficiency in handling and moving objects
- Physical stamina to lift and carry items

Pay
Compensation details are subject to change and may vary based on qualifications and experience.

Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Pickup Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment
- Moderate to noisy noise levels
- Physical demands: ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently
- Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
