About the role
The Assistant Debate Coach at Brookings High School is responsible for supporting the Debate Team in various capacities, including but not limited to, organizing practices, providing guidance on debating techniques, and preparing students for competitions. -
Responsibilities
- Support the Debate Team in organizing practices and events.
- Provide guidance on debating techniques and strategies.
- Prepare students for regional and national debate competitions.
- Collaborate with the Debate Team advisor to ensure team success.

Requirements
- Experience in coaching or teaching debate.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of current debate topics and strategies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in education, communications, or a related field.
- Previous experience working with high school students.
- Passion for debate and a commitment to student development.
