Curriculum and Academic Program Leadership

Provides leadership for the design, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of all degree programs, working collaboratively with the Curriculum Committee to ensure academic quality, coherence, and currency.

Safeguards alignment of all curricula with Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation standards, Georgia Board of Nursing (GBN) requirements, NCLEX-RN preparation, and relevant specialty certification examination requirements.

Selects educational materials and classroom support resources, including textbooks, library resources (in collaboration with the Assistant Dean for Research), clinical decision-support software, and NCLEX readiness platforms.

Directs oversight to degree program coordinators and collaborates with course coordinators, clinical site coordinators, and other academic partners to ensure quality and practice-readiness across all programs.

Accreditation, Regulatory Compliance, and External Representation

Serves as the School’s lead for (CCNE) accreditation, including self-study preparation, continuous improvement documentation, and site visit coordination.

Learns and maintains current knowledge of accreditation standards, state regulatory requirements, and national trends in nursing education; proactively anticipates and responds to changes that affect program approval and accreditation status.

Represents the Ivester School of Nursing at state and national meetings of nursing education leaders, including ACEN, CCNE, AACN, and relevant GBN forums, and ensures the school is well-positioned within the broader nursing education landscape.

Relates to external agencies on matters pertaining to educational program performance and outcomes.

Clinical Track Faculty and Instructors Leadership

Supervises, mentors, and evaluates clinical track faculty, fostering a culture of teaching excellence, scholarly engagement, and professional development.

Forecasts instructional needs across all course offerings and leads the recruitment, hiring, and evaluation of clinical track faculty.

Oversees recruitment, onboarding, assignment, and evaluation of clinical instructors to support high-quality clinical education.

Collaborates with the Senior Associate Dean for Administration and Operations to ensure effective integration of clinical track faculty and instructors into the academic program.
