Minimum Requirements
- Juris Doctorate degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Three (3) years of related experience including two (2) years of litigation or other trial-based experience preferred
- Candidates must be admitted to practice law in South Carolina (member of South Carolina Bar)
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license for South Carolina with a safe driving record
Special Requirements
- Departmental testing may be administered during interview
- A criminal background check will be completed on selected applicant if a current one (less than 3 years old) is not on file
Physical Demands
- Sit and use hands to handle objects and reach with hands and arms
- Talk and hear
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds
- Close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus required
Work Conditions
- The work is regularly performed in a dynamic environment that requires sensitivity to change and responsiveness to changing goals, priorities and needs
- Normal operating hours are Monday through Friday 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m with the ability to work flexible hours when necessary
- Must be able to attend evening County Council meetings and various social functions as requested
