Assistant Corrosion Project Manager

About the role

The Assistant Corrosion Project Manager will coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project’s life cycle, responsible for many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project, conduct analyses to develop chemical or process related design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for field work and compile field data
• Write reports and technical memorandums
• Perform assessments on pipelines and concrete structures
• Enter confined spaces, work near traffic, and work in wastewater structures
• Frequently travel nationally for field work
• Receive classroom and hands-on training to perform fieldwork safely
• Coordinate workload through project execution and complete deliverables on budget and schedule
• Work with the Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
• Conduct analyses to develop chemical or process related design options or recommendations
• Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
• Work independently on small projects or assist more-senior engineers / professionals on larger projects
• Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

• A solid understanding of corrosion mechanisms and materials science
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• 5 years related experience
• Professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered

Qualifications

• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in project execution within the Oil and Gas, Chemicals, Mining, Food and Beverage and/or Industrial Markets; Computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as standard Chemical / Process design software; MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
• Required Qualifications: MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus); An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
