Assistant Controller- Financial Reporting
Job Summary
Incumbent must work a percentage of time each week in the Omaha, NE office. Reporting to the VP Financial Reporting, coordinate and provide work direction for the Financial Reporting team with a focus on the financial and regulatory reporting for our Associations and AgDirect LLP. Coordinate and provide work direction for additional team functions, including account reconciliation, variance and materiality analyses, and implementation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Reporting Coordination & Review
- Cookierelate tasks such as coordinating, providing work direction, and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, external regulatory reporting, FCA Call reports, liaising with funding banks, preparing PCA/FLCA allocations, and supporting team reviews of financial statements.
- Risk Management
- Coordinate and provide work direction for materiality analysis, patronage program analysis, ICFR development and maintenance, and assisting with other Association team member duties.
- Coordinate and provide work direction for new reporting systems, updates, and modifications, and working with internal and external auditors.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Minimum in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- 6+ years of extensive experience in corporate financial reporting, accounting operations, and regulatory compliance with a complex, multi-entity enterprise environment.
- CPA or CMA certification highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial statement preparation, and reporting requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to coordinate complex reporting cycles, variance analysis, and accounting research, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced reporting environment with commitment to accuracy and compliance.
- Miscellaneous tax experience preferred.
