This is a full-time, on-site role based in Duncan, SC, supporting the company’s financial operations and reporting.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end close activities.
- Help prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Collaborate with project managers on job costing and budgets.
- Support cash flow management and forecasting.
- Contribute to process improvements.
- Assist with audits and regulatory filings.
- Work closely with leadership to provide financial insights that support decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including general ledger, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and job costing in a construction, engineering, or project-based environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and related office tools.
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and present clear, concise reports to management.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across finance, operations, and project teams.
- Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in an assistant controller, senior accountant, or similar role is strongly beneficial.
