Job Summary
The “Controller Assistant” role at Flex is based in Memphis, Tennessee, and reports to the Controller. This position involves preparing financial statements, conducting investigations, and supporting budget and forecast processes to align with corporate policies and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial management reports.
- Participate in special projects and compile various special reports.
- Conduct ad hoc financial investigations for local management.
- Prepare receivables reports as needed.
- Work closely with operations and commercial teams to understand the business impact on the site’s financial position.
- Prepare weekly and monthly-end reports for the business team.
- Support financial reporting for regulators and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Aid in managing the Accounting and Costing departments.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies to recruit and retain a qualified workforce.
Requirements
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience and training.
- A background in manufacturing/cost accounting is preferred.
- Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic people and/or process management skills.
- Demonstrates advanced/through knowledge of the function and Flex’s business.
- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries, or functions and comprehension of their interrelations within the site.
