Assistant Controller

About the Role

Prepares and maintains accurate accounting records using established policies and procedures in order to properly reflect BMG operating results and financial position. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Designs and interprets complex financial analysis in support of the strategic initiatives of the Organization.
• Participates actively in the financial performance improvement initiatives ongoing within the Organization.
• Communicates the results and implications of financial management activities in both written and oral formats, including:
  • Monthly Close/GL Reporting
  • Service Line Profitability
  • Cost Accounting
  • Capital Projects
  • Budgets and Financial Plans
  • Special Projects
  • External Benchmarks and Market Data
• Completes assigned goals.

Requirements

• Recent accounting experience in either accounting, budgeting, or cost accounting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (minimum required).

Qualifications

• 5 years of healthcare experience in a professional/technical role (preferred).
• Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
• CPA certification (preferred).
