About the role

The Assistant Controller will report to the Regional Controller, overseeing financial reporting and processes for the region while serving as an operational liaison between the field and Amergis headquarters. This role may also act as a key stakeholder in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for the region. The Assistant Controller promotes an environment of support to drive team member and field development through clear communication of the Company’s strategic vision and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in various financial components of the business, including business process improvement, forecasting, budget analysis, cost controls, compensation, and other financial reporting.
  • Active participation in the operational and financial components of Request for Proposals (RFP) and Contracts processes.
  • Act as a liaison on behalf of the field with corporate departments such as Purchasing, Payroll, Contracts, Legal, Accounts Payable, and Revenue Cycle.
  • Review expenses and other financial statements/reporting.
  • Provide education and customer service to branch offices.
  • Responsible for the training and continued development of direct reports.
  • Establish open communication and invest in the vision of team success.
  • Adhere to all internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Three to five (3-5) years of supervisory experience (preferred), ideally in healthcare, staffing, credit, or finance industries.
  • MBA preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, management, and agency personnel.
  • Availability to travel for occasional off-site meetings.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively exchange information with supervisors, co-workers, and clients; proficiency in English may be required.
