Assistant Construction Superintendent

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Aid in managing and scheduling subcontractors to ensure proper work flow.
  • Help the Construction Superintendent maintain a clean jobsite by instructing the subcontractors.
  • Aid in directing subcontractors to work in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Resolve conflicts that arise among blueprints.
  • Cook deliveries from vendors and suppliers.
  • Affirm that project budgets and schedules are met.
  • Be capable of working on multiple projects at a time.
  • Aid the Construction Superintendent with pricing revisions and change orders.
  • Manage stressful situations that arise between subcontractors.
  • Conduct yourself with the Lloyd Companies core values in mind.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of all aspects of the construction process.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to multi-task.
  • Able to manage stress well.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Flexible hours occasionally.
  • Taking pride in the work that you do.
  • Be mechanically inclined and have strong problem solving skills.
  • Able to manage subcontractors and have an understanding of the timing of related tasks.
  • A strong understanding of OSHA requirements and standards.

Education and/or Experience

Associate Degree preferred in related field preferred; 2+ years of experience in construction.
