Responsibilities
- Maintain and update project schedules and budgets under the supervision of Superintendents.
- Coordinate with subcontractor’s offices to develop recovery plans as needed.
- Meet regularly with staff and subcontractors to discuss progress, obstacles, challenges, and remove barriers.
- Coordinate daily operational objectives, timelines, and goals.
- Participate in inspections and examinations of work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure safety and compliance with specifications.
- Read construction documents to determine requirements and plan procedures.
- Record and maintain information, producing reports such as personnel logs, production logs, status reports, and other operational data.
- Make decisions regarding start-up/shutdown issues and instruct crew members accordingly.
- Conduct periodic job site safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure all assigned projects are built to the highest quality standards.
- Represent Hoar in job site progress meetings and other meetings as requested.
- Act as the jobsite superintendent in the absence of the normal jobsite superintendent.
- Create and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Communicate clearly and consistently with all parties involved regarding deliveries and job progress.
- Assist in coordinating and managing all workforce needed to complete assigned projects.
- Clearly communicate goals and expectations to crew members, including work hours, amount of work to be completed, schedule, etc.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in construction or a college degree in construction
- General knowledge of scheduling, cost control, and safety procedures
- General computer skills (MS Office)
- Valid Driver's License
Physical Demands and Working Environment
- Work in an indoor and outdoor setting with exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions.
- Travel from site to site as needed.
- Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting and field environment.
- Perform tasks that involve walking, standing, sitting for prolonged periods, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching, twisting, grasping, and making repetitive hand movements.
- Lift, carry, push, and/or pull moderate amounts of weight up to 50 lbs without assistance and greater than 50 lbs with assistance.
- Operate assigned equipment and vehicles.
- Verbal communication to exchange information.
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
