Responsibilities
- Cooking up engineering studies
- Handling change order requests
- Collaborating with engineers
- Working closely with estimating teams
- Communicating with owners and clients on specifications and technical questions
- Managing projects in the planning stages
- Coordinating with regional managers on project statuses
- Creating subcontracts and POs
- Tracking job costs and predicting revenue streams
- Ensuring quality and compliance on projects
- Solving disputes with clients
- Maintaining prime contracts with clients
- Establishing monthly billing procedures
- Maintaining job cost control and reporting
- Evaluating subcontractor's application for payment
- Issuing change orders to subcontractors
- Executing monthly progress payments
- Reviewing general conditions costs
- Reviewing and approving material and subcontract invoices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of five years of Solar or EPC construction industry experience
- Knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
- Ability to take reasonable care of health and safety
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical documents
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to write reports and present information
- Basic algebra and geometry knowledge
