About the role
We’re looking for a self-driven, resourceful, and disciplined Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of utility-scale solar projects across the U.S. This is a high-impact, growth-oriented role designed to develop future project leaders.
Responsibilities
- Cooking studies
- Coordinating change order requests
- Coordinating with engineers
- Working with estimating on projects
- Submittals and requests for information
- Working with owners and clients on specifications and technical questions in planning stages
- Coordinating with owners or clients on planning projects
- Coordinating with regional managers on status of projects
- Create subcontracts and PO's
- Tracking job costs and predicting monthly revenue streams
- Managing QA/QC on projects
- Identifying, researching, and resolving all contract disputes with the Owner
- Establishing monthly billing procedure with the Owner or Client
- Establishing and maintaining job cost control, which will be reported monthly
- Reviewing general conditions cost on a monthly basis
- Reviewing subcontractor's application for payment based on percent complete and approving or adjusting
- Affixing change orders to subcontractors
- Initiating and executing all monthly progress payments to the Owner
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of five years of Solar or EPC construction industry experience/knowledge of construction techniques, estimating and construction management
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Taking reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety
- Writing reports, business correspondence, and documenting project activities
- Presenting information to project managers, superintendents, clients, customers, and the general public
- Calculating figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry
