Assistant Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities
- Aids the Project Manager in developing project-specific procedures, documentation, and related A/E systems for the project
- Knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with construction/project requirements
- Obtains, maintains, and manages data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, architects, engineers, and other project-related entities
- Assists in the management of project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, organization, systems, and project closeout
- Supports project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses
- May assist in coordinating and monitoring activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities
- Performs other duties as required
Requirements
- 4-year degree required
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture preferred
- 2+ years experience working on DSA education projects
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of database project controls software (PMS) systems such as Project Team, Prolog, Procore, or similar
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam, Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and application of construction cost, project controls/scheduling, documentation, engineering/construction principles, techniques, materials, applications, and practices
- Construction contract administration knowledge
- Experience with Design Phase Management
- Experience bidding and awarding Contractors, A/E, and consultants on Public Projects
- Experience validating, reporting, and managing onsite construction activities
- Experience in coordination stakeholders and user groups
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications include a 4-year degree
- Preferred qualifications include a bachelor's degree with emphasis in technical disciplines such as Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture
- Minimum of 2 years experience working on DSA education projects
