About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Construction Project Manager to join our team at ECBuild!
Responsibilities
- Aid in managing all aspects of the assigned projects from inception to completion
- Facilitate project management by coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure that project scope adheres to contractual requirements and prevent unexpected work within budget
- Participate in all project meetings as needed
- Keep all construction documents up-to-date (submittals, RFIs, change orders, drawings, specifications, etc.) and produce as-built documents
- Support quality control and assurance efforts
- Contribute to job cost management
- Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
- Manage the Request for Information (RFI) process
- Manage the Submittal process
- Organize and track all material testing documentation and resolve non-conformance issues
- Perform other duties as directed by the Project Manager
Requirements
- Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related field required
- Minimum three years’ construction experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager
- OSHA 30 Hour Certification required
- Working knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods); subcontractor agreements, estimating, schedules, and safety required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills essential
- Excellent time management skills and a high attention to detail
- Proficiency with project management software – Procore, CMiC, or similar
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word, Excel
- Proficiency with Bluebeam
- Preferred Education and Experience:
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, laboratory, MEP, and commercial construction is preferred
- Additional Eligibility/Qualifications:
- Must pass a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening
