About the role
The Scion Group is hiring an Assistant General Manager to join their team. This position plays a crucial role in the execution of their vision for student living communities.
Responsibilities
- Aid in attracting and hiring new team members, focusing on employee retention.
- Support the General Manager in the training, coaching, and development of team members.
- Manage the property's onsite schedule, including after-hour on-call shifts.
- Partner with the General Manager to enhance the employee experience through various initiatives.
- Prepare and respond to all community aspects, including market analysis, physical condition, policies, and procedures.
- Handle legal and resident notices, file evictions, manage resident accounts, and coordinate accounts receivables.
- Oversee the safety and sanitation of the community, ensuring compliance with codes and standards.
- Conduct monthly property walks and complete scorecard assessments for inspections.
- Coordinate work orders with appropriate staff or vendors to ensure timely completion and high customer satisfaction.
- Assist in the annual turnover process, including goal setting, expectation setting, and deadline management.
- Manage damage claims and billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely resolution.
- Ensure efficient and successful move-in, room assignment, transfer, and move-out processes.
- Provide hands-on assistance during move-out inspections and vendor service walks.
- Prepare and post monthly end reports, reconcile accounts receivable, enforce late fees, and manage NSF fees.
- Manage customer sales interactions, perform market surveys, and execute customer experience initiatives.
- Monitor customer feedback and develop action plans to improve the resident experience.
Requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- One to two years of experience working in living communities or property management.
- Proficiency in Property Management Systems (Entrata preferred).
- Experience with relevant systems and platforms such as Greenhouse, Lattice, Turnable, and Qualtrics.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Ops Technology tools like ClickUp.
- Experience with Scion Intelligence operational details.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
Schedule
Daytime business hours with occasional non-traditional hours during peak times, emergencies, and inclement weather.
