Your Role
As an Assistant Community Director, you’ll partner with the Community Director to co-manage daily property operations, lead and motivate staff, and ensure an exceptional living experience for our residents at this 186-rental home community.
- Assist in managing Leasing, Maintenance, and Groundskeeping teams to achieve operational goals
- Support community budgets, financial reports, and bookkeeping tasks
- Oversee vendor management, contracts, and service quality
- Hire, motivate, monitor, and recognize employees for their contributions
- Affirm consistent resident satisfaction and resolve escalated issues professionally
- Aid in marketing, outreach, and community engagement efforts
- Maintain compliance with Fair Housing laws, landlord/tenant regulations, and company policies
Position Terms
This Assistant Community Director role is initially a temporary full-time position at a lease-up community. There is potential for permanent full-time placement at another community, location to be determined, based on operational needs and individual performance.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of property management experience with proven experience in operations, staff supervision, and team leadership
- Proven knowledge of property budgets, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
- Understanding of landlord/tenant law and Fair Housing regulations
- Skilled in team leadership, coaching, and performance management
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; property management software experience is a plus
Compensation & Perks
- The Lewis Group of Companies reasonably expects to pay $26.50-$29.50/hour DOE, for this role, with actual compensation based on skills, experience, location, and business needs.

- Clothing Allowance: $650 in your first year, $450 each following year
