About the role
Assist the head coach in all aspects of a Division I women's rowing program committed to competitive excellence, athlete development, and a world-class student-athlete experience. The assistant coach will help foster a positive, high-performance team culture while supporting the athletic, academic, and personal growth of Boston University student-athletes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in recruiting and developing student-athletes
- Support the head coach in designing and implementing training programs
- Collaborate with the head coach to develop and maintain a positive team culture
- Work closely with the head coach to ensure compliance with NCAA, Patriot League, and University rules and regulations
- Provide academic support to student-athletes
- Participate in team meetings and other coaching staff meetings
- Support the head coach in organizing and executing team travel and competition schedules
- Engage in community outreach and fundraising activities
Requirements
- B.A./B.S. and one to three years coaching and collegiate rowing experience
- Knowledge of and adherence to NCAA, Patriot League, and University rules and regulations
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Passion for rowing and athletics
Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent leadership and motivational abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay
Minimum $55,000.00, maximum $65,000.00. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison.
