About the role

Assist the head coach in all aspects of a Division I women's rowing program committed to competitive excellence, athlete development, and a world-class student-athlete experience. The assistant coach will help foster a positive, high-performance team culture while supporting the athletic, academic, and personal growth of Boston University student-athletes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the head coach in recruiting and developing student-athletes
  • Support the head coach in designing and implementing training programs
  • Collaborate with the head coach to develop and maintain a positive team culture
  • Work closely with the head coach to ensure compliance with NCAA, Patriot League, and University rules and regulations
  • Provide academic support to student-athletes
  • Participate in team meetings and other coaching staff meetings
  • Support the head coach in organizing and executing team travel and competition schedules
  • Engage in community outreach and fundraising activities

Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. and one to three years coaching and collegiate rowing experience
  • Knowledge of and adherence to NCAA, Patriot League, and University rules and regulations

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Passion for rowing and athletics

Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent leadership and motivational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Minimum $55,000.00, maximum $65,000.00. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison.
