Responsibilities
- Aid in the instruction of student athletes in the sport of softball
- Assist in organizing, preparing, and conducting practices, training, and competition
- Recruit student-athletes in accordance with all NCAA Division III rules and regulations
- Aid in the holistic development of softball student-athletes
- Represent the program and CSS to students, parents, alumni, and the general public
- Aid in the management of the daily operations and administration facets of the softball program
- Aid in social media and work with the sports information office
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree is required/ Master’s degree preferred
- One or more years coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate level; collegiate playing and/or managerial experience is preferred but not required
- Strong teaching background in the offensive hitting and outfield positioning aspect of the game
- Strong teaching and coaching skills
- Extremely detail oriented, great at administrative tasks
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively with all types of people, and establish and maintain a strong working relationship with students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and other college personnel
- The ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision
- Maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience with video editing software, Adobe Photoshop and social media platforms
- Commitment to the student-athlete experience, passion for the game, and ability to coach and motivate
