About the role
The Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach position at Florida Polytechnic University is part-time (OPS) and heavily scheduled on evenings and weekends. The position is open for 14 days with a minimum of 7 days, and applications are reviewed immediately.
Responsibilities
- Aid the head coach in recruiting, evaluating, and retaining qualified student-athletes.
- Develop and implement practical training, practice, and conditioning programs.
- Manage equipment procurement, maintenance, and inventory.
- Coordinate game-day operations, including team preparation, fan engagement, and concession management.
- Promote a positive team culture that supports academic achievement, leadership development, community engagement, and personal well-being.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of soccer coaching or similar experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of soccer techniques, strategies, regulations, and best practices.
- Knowledge of NAIA and Sun Conference compliance requirements, eligibility rules, and reporting expectations.
- Strong communication, motivational, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to recruit high-performing athletes through relationship-building, evaluation, and talent identification.
- Organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making under pressure.
- Foster a culture of respect, accountability, teamwork, and academic success.
Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Criminal background check required.
Skills
- Comprehensive understanding of soccer techniques, strategies, regulations, and best practices.

Pay
Up to $5,000 commiserated with experience.
Schedule
This position is part-time (OPS) hourly, with heavy scheduling on evenings and weekends. The actual part-time work schedule will be determined upon hire.
