About the Department
The Department of Athletics at Indiana Tech serves as an integral part of the university and plays an important role in its mission. The department is committed to enhancing the student experience by providing quality programs that are competitive, fun, and meaningful, while promoting fair play, sportsmanship, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, development, and administration of certain aspects of the lacrosse program.
- Assist in the implementation of team policies aligning with the philosophy of the institution.
- Assist in the recruitment and retention of student-athletes.
- Assist in academic oversight of student-athletes.
- Execute secondary duties within the Department of Athletics as assigned.
- Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Tech.
- Aid the Head Coach in planning and executing in-gym sessions.
- Assist in player development.
- Assist in game day strategies and execution.
- Execute film breakdown and scouting.
- Oversee equipment and gear maintenance and arrangements.
- Develop fundraising strategies.
- Coordinate travel logistics for on-road contests and other needs.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the head coach or the athletic director.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
- 1-3 years of coaching experience preferred.
Working Conditions
- Nights and weekends required.
- Overtime hours required in season.
- Travel for competitions and recruiting required.
