Assistant Coach Men's and Women's Swimming

Essential functions

• Aid in recruiting communication and organization, guiding prospective student-athletes through the admissions process.
• Support strength and conditioning coordination, contributing to administrative and compliance-related tasks.
• Assist with facility operations, including building management, event or practice supervision, and other duties as assigned.

Work environment

• Office Setting: Cubicles, open desks, or private offices with access to necessary tools like computers, phones, and office supplies.
• Remote Setting: Working from home or another location with access to virtual communication platforms and necessary technology.

Physical demands

• Sitting: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or workstation.
• Typing/Computer Use: Frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Vision Requirements: Ability to read and view screens for extended periods.
• Speaking/Hearing: Regular communication with coworkers and clients in person, over the phone, or via video calls.
• Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally lifting or moving items up to 10-15 pounds, such as office supplies, laptops, or documents.
• Reaching/Bending: Periodic reaching for or bending to access files, supplies, or equipment.
• Mobility: Walking short distances within the office or to meeting rooms.

Travel required

You must also be willing to travel for recruiting; the distance will depend on the location of the showcases. You must also be willing to attend all the teams' events, including our training trip, away games, and any international trips.

Required education and experience

• High school Degree
• Competitive Swim experience, ideally at the college level

Preferred education and experience

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience recruiting
• Experience in sales
• Experience coaching a team as a head coach
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills
