About the role
The Assistant Coach/Intern will assist in the development and implementation of the women’s ice hockey program. Responsibilities include working closely with the head coach to plan and execute training sessions, scouting opponents, and managing team logistics.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing training sessions
- Scout opponents to provide insights to the coaching staff
- Manage team logistics including travel arrangements and equipment maintenance
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in sports science, physical education, or related field
- Experience as an assistant coach or intern in a similar setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Passion for women’s ice hockey and commitment to excellence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of ice hockey rules and regulations
Skills
- Strong leadership and motivational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
