About the Role

This position will assist the head coach of both teams in recruiting, scouting, instruction, academic monitoring, player development, and additional responsibilities assigned by the head coach.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting/Scouting:
    • Develop relationships with coaches and contacts at high schools, junior colleges, clubs, and community groups.
    • Contact and evaluate local, state, national, and international prospective student-athletes.
    • Conduct official and unofficial campus visits.
    • Maintain knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules to pass the annual certification test.
    • Coordinate recruiting efforts with the NCAA Compliance Officer as required.
    • Comply with all regulatory agencies and associations governing sport program rules.
  • Instruction:
    • Instruct student-athletes during practice sessions, both as a team and individually.
    • Responsible for the program in the absence of the head coach.
  • Academic Monitoring:
    • Review academic progress reports from professors in a timely manner.
    • Maintain sensitivity toward class absenteeism.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Adhere to athletic administrative operating procedures and budgets.
    • Assist with planning team travel (lodging and meals).
    • Structure team activities.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; preference given to candidates with coaching and recruiting experience at the college level.
  • CPR certification required within six months of hire.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Schedule

Days; Monday through Friday. Work outside of normal business hours may be required.

Pay

Pay Band: B3. Salary range: $16.54/hour – $17.63/hour, commensurate with qualifications.
