Assistant Coach Golf
About the role
Bridgewater College is seeking an enthusiastic and student-focused Assistant Golf Coach to support its NCAA Division III men's and women's golf programs. This part-time position reports to the Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach and offers an opportunity to help student-athletes succeed both on the course and in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of the men's and women's golf programs
- Plan and conduct practices and provide instruction during training and competition
- Travel with the team to tournaments and assist with competition management
- Recruit prospective student-athletes who are a strong fit for Bridgewater College academically, athletically, and personally
- Mentor and support student-athletes in their academic, athletic, and personal development
- Assist with tournament operations, community service initiatives, and fundraising activities
- Help promote the golf programs through social media, marketing, and other outreach efforts
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, Old Dominion Athletic Conference, and College policies and regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Previous coaching or competitive golf experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with prospective and current student-athletes
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet the College's vehicle insurance requirements
