About the role

This position is for an Assistant Coach to support the Head Coach in implementing and overseeing the athletic program for assigned sport(s). The employee must understand and abide by all building, District, and Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) policies, regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision of students during all aspects of the program
  • Use sound instructional techniques in program activities
  • Serve as a positive role model to student athletes

Requirements

  • Must be at least 19 years old to serve as an Assistant Coach

Schedule

  • Monday – Thursday: 2:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.
  • Weekly working hours: 8
  • Anticipated start date: 9/8/26
  • Coaches and Advisors who begin more than two weeks after their respective sport or activity begins will have their stipend prorated accordingly. Proration is based on total days worked in the season or activity versus total days of the season or activity.

Pay

Stipend: $2,545 – $3,111 (2025–28 Coaches Salary Schedule)

This position alone is not eligible for insurance benefits, paid holidays, or paid time off. Eligibility for benefits is determined by the number of hours employees are anticipated to work during the school year (September 1 through August 31). If combined with another position, including substituting, an employee anticipated to work at least 630 hours or more in a year is eligible for benefits. Snoqualmie Valley School District benefits are administered by the Washington State Healthcare Authority (HCA) under the School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB).
