Assistant Coach - Cross Country and Track & Field

Location: Cleveland, Ohio | Type: Full-time

About the Role

Assists the head coach, cross country and track & field, in organizing the women’s cross country and track & field programs to ensure a quality program and successful team. Assists with day-to-day coaching and training operations of the program in all events, with a focus on cross country and distance.

Responsibilities

• Support the head coach in organizing and managing the women’s cross country and track & field programs.
• Assist with daily coaching and training operations, with a focus on cross country and distance events.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or state-recognized equivalent.
• Prior experience as a competitor and/or coach at the club, college, or international level, or equivalent (including student and/or graduate assistant work).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under the University’s Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports management or a related field.
• Experience coaching a Division I cross country and/or track & field program.
• Strong recruiting background.
