Assistant Coach, Baseball
Description
The Assistant Baseball Coach will assist the Head Baseball coach in all facets of the program including assisting with coaching and recruiting, academic monitoring/advising, and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time, exempt position (10-month contract) covered by the Public Education Employee Retirement System of Missouri (PEERS) and social security.

Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree is recommended, playing and coaching experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to follow directions and initiative to follow through on assignments.
- Great interpersonal and verbal skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform duties as assigned by the Head Baseball Coach on and off the field
- Aid head coach with practice planning, organizing practice, and preparing for games;
- Attend regular baseball practices;
- Aid with field/athletic facilities maintenance and game day preparation;
- Aid in developing training programs and strength training programs;
- Must be able to throw batting practice;
- Aid with recruiting players for purposes of attending college and playing baseball;
- Aid with monitoring academics progress and oversee study halls when requested;
- Participate in team fundraising, community service, and regular events;
- Adhere to policies and regulations as outlined in Policy Handbook;
- Obtain a CDL driver's license as needed;
- Work closely with the athletic trainer to ensure player health and safety;
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of rules and regulations for MACC, NJCAA, MCCAA, and Region 16;
- Assists with other duties/projects as assigned within the Student Affairs Department.
