Assistant Clinical Professor (NTT)

Primary Purpose and Essential Functions

The University of the Pacific, School of Health Sciences invites qualified applicants to apply for the full-time, core faculty, 11-month, non-tenure-track position in the Entry-Level OTD program at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank (depending on qualifications and academic experience).

Responsibilities

• Teach OTD program content in both didactic and clinical settings
• Advise students
• Participate in simulation, curriculum development, and interprofessional education
• Assist with student and part-time faculty orientation
• Participate in accreditation preparation activities
• Attend program, curriculum, and other campus committee meetings
• Contact clinical agencies, orient and evaluate part-time faculty, and interview prospective students as needed
• Teach or co-teach online, hybrid, or online courses in areas of expertise using innovative teaching modalities
• Create or co-create online, hybrid, or in-person course content and materials in areas of expertise, including: course syllabi, reading assignments, lectures, assessments, assignments, outlines and scripts for videos, voice-over presentations, podcasts, and similar
• Provide academic advising and professional mentorship
• Create a student-centered learning environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• Terminal degree (PP-OTD, PhD, EdD) from an accredited university with experience in curriculum development, research and supervision of graduate projects
• Initial certification by NBCOT (The National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) as an OTR (Registered Occupational Therapist)
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the State of California by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years clinical experience
• Active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association
• Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting
• Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work
• Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures

Schedule is dependent on the course and department needs.

Pay

$115,000 - $127,449.80. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
