Assistant Clinical Director (Hospice)

The Role

The Assistant Clinical Director will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Performs tasks as assigned by the designated leader
  • Staff development
  • Provides supervisor back-up for nursing departments when leadership is unavailable
  • Management of key services in accordance with policies, procedures and current federal, state and local standards
  • Works in cooperation with the Director of Nursing and Executive Director to ensure the care provided meets current standards of nursing/clinical practice
  • Adequate support is provided to Regional Managers
  • All reporting (including QAPI) are turned in as required by policy and procedure
  • Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving professional, administrative and supervisory problems within assigned areas
  • Supports the intake department
  • Aid with monthly clinical invoices and other managerial duties

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Must have a State Certified RN license
  • Certified Hospice & Palliative Care Nurse (CHPN) certification, a plus
  • 3+ years of Nursing experience
  • Hospice or Homecare experience a must
  • Demonstrated skills in administrative performance, including expertise in written/oral communication, supervision of staff, documentation requirements, service coordination and case management
