About the Role
Provides clinical support by assisting patients of all ages (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric), physicians, and technical personnel to ensure smooth operational functions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the performance of procedures for all patients of all ages (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric) in a manner that ensures accurate and complete examination by complying with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains appropriate data by collecting and accurately recording pertinent patient and procedural data according to unit procedures for safe and effective management of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement activities by collecting data for studies and assisting in performing quality control functions to ensure quality is consistent with established standards.
- Participates in educational activities by assuming responsibility for professional development and growth and incorporating knowledge into daily practice to promote continuous improvement and compliance with patient care standards.
- Completes assigned goals.
Requirements
- Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency.
- Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
- Knowledge of departmental policies and procedures as normally acquired through 90 days of on-the-job training.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 14 days of hire date; must obtain certification within 90 days if not already certified.
