Clinical Assistant
Requirements
- Medical terminology and data entry experience.
- Successful completion of Nursing Assistant training or Certified Medical Assistant training.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of emergency procedures.
- Able to verbalize knowledge of location and use of emergency equipment.
- Able to demonstrate procedures to ensure patient safety in emergent situations and disaster plan.
- Maintains orderliness in the Department.
- Provides for patient safety.
- Reports all necessary information and/or unusual occurrences.
- Participates in Quality Assurance activities.
- Assists with front desk duties.
- Prepares charts, files, answers phones, makes appointments, transports medications, blood products, specimen and urine samples, orders food for patients, logs temperatures, cleans patient area, and assists nurses with overall care of patients.
Skills
- Knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Verbalization of knowledge of emergency equipment.
- Proper preparation of waste for Stericycle pickup.
- Ordering of food for patients in Cater track.
- Ordering of medical supplies in McKesson.
- Logging of temperatures for the blanket warmer and medication refrigerator.
- Cleaning of IV pumps and chairs between patients.
- Assisting nurses with the overall care of patients.
Pay
Salary Range: $20.00 - $26.50 USD

In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials. The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
