About the role
The Assistant CDC Director with the Air Force Civilian Service supports the Child Development Center Director in supervising the day-to-day operations of a Child Development Center. This includes providing specialized childcare and instruction for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years, developing and implementing child development programs, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a first-level supervisor
- Assist the Child Development Center Director in managing the Child Development Center
- Provide specialized childcare and instruction for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years
- Develop and implement child development programs
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children
- Organize educational and developmental programs
- Manage administrative tasks
Requirements
- A degree in early childhood or child development
- Professional knowledge of child development theory, methodology, and practices
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations governing child care
- Knowledge of financial, budget, resource management practices and principles
- Knowledge of USDA food program requirements
- Ability to educate, counsel, and advise child care providers and parents
- Ability to conduct regular and periodic audits, studies, and inspections
