Job Purpose
The Asst. Chief Engineer assists with the overall operation of the maintenance department and ensures the appearance and working order of the hotel. They also oversee the maintenance department, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with policies and guidelines.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computational and computer skills
- Thorough knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employment, safety, and labor
- Passion for people and service
- Strong problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities
