Assistant Hotel Chief Engineer

About the role

The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the Director of Engineering in overseeing the maintenance operations, physical assets, and infrastructure of the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel’s facilities are in good working order.
• Manage the inventory of equipment and supplies to ensure they are adequate and efficiently used.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues related to building systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 yearly.
