Assistant Chief Engineer
About the role
The Assistant Chief Engineer supports the daily operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical building systems within a commercial facility environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems while supporting operational excellence and client satisfaction. The Assistant Chief Engineer will help lead maintenance activities, mentor team members, support preventive maintenance programs, and assist the Chief Engineer in maintaining compliance with safety standards, service level agreements, and site performance goals. This position requires a hands-on, multi-skilled professional with strong technical expertise and a commitment to delivering best-in-class facility operations.

Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems and equipment.
- Monitor building automation systems (BAS), respond to alarms, and diagnose operational issues to maintain system performance.
- Utilize CMMS systems to manage and complete preventive and corrective maintenance work orders in a timely manner.
- Support and lead facility operations activities while mentoring and sharing technical knowledge with engineering team members.
- Conduct facility rounds,
