The Assistant Chief Counsel role at the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board supports the agency’s mission by providing legal expertise that strengthens public trust and agency operations.
Responsibilities
- Analyze procurement issues and review facts to support agency decisions
- Examine legal documents and materials for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare memoranda, legal documents, and written materials for Board matters
- Evaluate legal questions that range from routine to moderately complex
- Communicate with officials and the public in a clear and respectful manner
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school of law and admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania
- Regulatory oversight experience
- Experience in legal research involving or pertaining to Commonwealth procurement, contract drafting, and research
- Ability to perform essential job functions
- Employment contingent upon completion of a Personal History Questionnaire with a thorough background investigation, including drug screening, and subsequent Board approval
Schedule
- Full-time employment
- Work hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch
- Opportunity for part-time telework with a securely configured high-speed internet connection from an approved location inside Pennsylvania; otherwise, report to headquarters in Harrisburg
- Telework eligibility subject to change at any time
