About the role

The Assistant Chief Clinical Officer (ACCO) at Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare (COBH) provides strategic and operational oversight of all clinical services within the COBH facilities, which include 208 inpatient beds in the main hospital, 52 maximum-security inpatient beds in the Moritz building, and 250 outpatient clients served through the Community Support Network (CSN).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the CCO in providing strategic and operational oversight of all clinical services within the COBH facilities.
  • Serve as the director of Psychiatric Education, a liaison to OSU Dept of Psychiatry and other affiliated educational institutions.
  • Collaborate with outside psychiatrists and other physicians to assure coordination and continuity of care to a community setting.
  • Provide general training and educational services to medical/clinical staff.
  • Functions as a collaborating physician to Advance Practice Nurses at COBH to comply with medical staff bylaws.
  • Performs as the Medical Officer of the Day (MOD) or Cross Coverage Doctor (CCD) as needed.

Requirements

  • Certificate to practice medicine in state of Ohio as issued by State Medical Board pursuant to Section 4731.14 & 4731.281 of Revised Code.
  • Primary Job Skill: Medical, Behavioral Health, Psychiatry.

Benefits

This position also offers full State of Ohio benefits and is eligible for federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). This position is unclassified per 124.11 (A) (9), Ohio Revised Code. Normal working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with a flexible schedule.

Pay

Approximate Annual Salary: $250,000 - $275,000
