About the role

Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking a full-time Assistant Chief Clinical Officer (ACCO) RN.

Responsibilities

• Participate in decision-making, policy determination, and planning and operations of the hospital.
• Manage all nursing practices.
• Have knowledge of current theoretical approaches to delivering nursing care and strategies for examining and applying relevant concepts.
• Participate in developing and implementing strategies to address opportunities for improving nursing care.
• Model and demonstrate critical care clinical skills for staff real time.
• Collaborate to positively support, grow and develop staff members’ clinical and critical care skills by being present and rounding daily with staff and patients.

Requirements

• Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure.
• Demonstrated leadership and management ability with a minimum of three to five years’ experience in nursing administration.
• Experience in hospital clinical operations.
• ICU/critical care/ER experience required.
• Clinical mentor/preceptor/trainer experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
