Responsibilities
- Supports the responsibility for the management of all nursing education practices, quality, risk management, and performance improvement.
- Identifies, investigates, reports, prevents and controls healthcare associated infections (HAIs) among patients and personnel.
- Institutes collection of cultures and initiates appropriate isolation precautions by authority of the Infection Control Committee.
- Assists with in-service programs related to infection prevention and control.
- Attends to all employee work-related injuries and recommends appropriate action, communicates with the risk manager any trends in the workplace.
- Develops and implements the hospital’s Utilization Review plan.
Requirements
- Current Indiana Registered Nurse Licensure.
- Minimum of two years critical care experience.
- Demonstrated leadership and management ability with a minimum of two-four years’ experience in nursing administration.
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Infection Control and Quality experience is required!
