Responsibilities
- Schedule and register all arts education classes, arts workshops, and arts camps for adults and children.
- Manage special events on the property to enhance the lives of Encinitas residents.
- Oversee daily operational tasks, including supervising staff, contract instructors, and volunteers.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and inclusive services.
- Manage program budgets and contracts, maintain records, and coordinate marketing and outreach materials.
- Foster strong relationships with community partners.
- Ensure facilities remain safe, welcoming, and aligned with the City's commitment to exceptional recreation services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, or an arts related field, and at least three years of journey level professional experience that is directly applicable to the work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
- Licenses: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification; First Aid Certification; Ability to obtain Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Certification within 3 months of hire.
